EDITING IN PHOTOSHOP

Once developed in 1988 and available since 1990. Photoshop's history goes way back. Today, for the average landscape photographer, it is impossible to imagine life without it. Photoshop is a powerful editing program with endless possibilities.

Do you already know all the features? Want to get started with Photoshop but it still sounds like abracadabra to you? Maybe you already use Photoshop but are not sure how to get everything out of it? It's time for an Editing in Photoshop workshop!

As mentioned earlier, the possibilities in Photoshop are endless so we have workshops for different levels. In the basic workshop, as the name implies, we start with the basics. From importing images to the tools in the program. During the expert workshop we really dive into depth, start working with layers and learn how to merge multiple images in different ways.

    • Importing and exporting
    • Cloning away subjects
    • Basic adjustments (think contrast, exposure, etc)
    • Making selections
    • Working with layers/groups and layer masks
    • The use of various types of filters
    • Dodging / burning
    • Complementary colors

  • EXPERT

    • Exposure blending (blending photos with different exposures)
    • Focus stacking (merging photos with a different focus point)
    • Blending photos with different foregrounds (especially useful with waves)
    • Dodge and Burn in combination with layer masks and selections and add/reduce color.
    • Using all types of healing tools and content aware remove tool.
    • Using TK Action panel
    • Creating layers as a "smart object" and its benefits.
    •  Adjust/correct and add colors
    • Reduce noise in photos by merging multiple photos. (Fine for astro photos and Northern Lights photos)
    • Adding Orton effects
    • Various transform tools
    • Adding extra light
    • Optimally sharpen your photos for prints, websites and Instagram

LEARNING BY DOING

After we've discussed everything, it's time to start editing an image yourself using all the tips and tricks you've learned. Our Guide Jos Pannekoek will be around to help and answer all your questions. Don't hesitate to ask your questions, even if it's a topic that hasn't been discussed yet!

COMBINATION BASIC AND EXPERT

Are you a beginner and only need the basic techniques or are you already familiar with Photoshop and would like to go deeper with the software? Everything is possible. Choose a part of the day or come all day to attend both workshops!

    • Prior to the workshop, you still have the opportunity to have your screen calibrated.

    Jos Pannekoek will give this workshop in Oirschot (between Tilburg and Eindhoven).

    Photos to edit will be made available. You will receive these with the information email.

    Basic: 08:00 - 12:00
    Expert 13:00 - 17:00

    Minimum number of participants is 3 and maximum is 6.
