A message from me, Charly, personally to all dear (potential) clients of This Way. The new year has started and for many people this is a time to look back at the past year, but also at the dreams and ambitions of the coming year. Those who know me know that with all love and enthusiasm I have built This Way into a company where we have experienced many wonderful adventures. Where sharing knowledge, trust and photography were the keywords for a lot of beautiful new memories for both myself and a lot of clients. But unfortunately hard work is not the only thing important in life. In the coming year a lot of things are changing for me and unfortunately that means that 2025 will be the year when I organize photo tours for This Way for the last time. WHAT? Yeah... I don't know if it's forever but right now at this moment it's an important choice I have to make for a while. In this personal blog I'll tell you more about it but also definitely what to expect. Not to worry, This Way will not disappear from the face of the earth, only the trips will stop after 2025. Grab a cup of tea or coffee and a bag of popcorn? Then I'll tell you more;
BUT WHY?
A question I hear you ask now and a question that also went around in my head many times before I made the choice to quit photo travel. There are sometimes things in life that need a little more attention in order to steer the right course and in all my vulnerability I am one of them myself of them. It doesn't mean that there will never be any more photo tours after 2025 but it is the year when I completely turn some things around. Reversing so that I can realize my most beautiful dreams and goals, and of those, "travel less so I can be with my sick father more" is also a goal. And so there are several reasons that make me come to this decision. With pain in my heart because I love This Way and all the wonderful adventures that I really don't want to miss this at all.
THE FUTURE OF THIS WAY
We are not letting go of the trips quite yet because everything planned on the website for 2025 we are going to finish just like that. No cold turkey rehab! If you have ever considered going on a trip (again) with us, this is the year to take your last chance. Every trip will be an unforgettable farewell trip where we will immerse you even more in surprises, knowledge and breathtaking moments. With all the trips, I wrote that we will ensure the WOW effect and believe me, that WOW will be the most beautiful ever, if only because it is the last time. With a little extra love from me for you as individuals. Meanwhile, in the coming year, I am dipping This Way into a platform where you can attend online workshops, read inspiring blogs and where all your stories will play a role. Interviews, stories, tips and a whole lot more. Only the trips will stay away after 2025. No idea if this will ever come back, I don't want to look that far into the future. The photo walks and scheduled workshops will also remain as usual so in fact not much will be different this year.
DON'T SIP!
I know, what a bummer huh? But don't be sad because the memories and the trips to come are too beautiful for that! We will make a celebration of it and me, This Way, the guides, the pictures, the knowledge, it will not disappear. Everything and everyone can just be found online and This Way will also start working in a different jacket. In the coming year we'll just do as we always do and then let's start fresh and fruity in a new direction. Will you be joining us for a trip to one of the beautiful destinations? And how about a nice travel farewell drink with all the guides who have ever been involved with This Way? For now, not a farewell but an invitation to another beautiful photo party.
