PHOTO TOUR ICELAND

When we talk about thousands of waterfalls, more sheep than people and unspoiled nature, of course we are talking about Iceland. Did you know that Iceland is a volcanic island? It was created by a huge volcanic explosion which makes everything on this island just a little bit different. You will find boiling mud pools, beaches are black, steep cliffs full of birds and thousands of waterfalls. Even the countryside here is unique. Because Iceland consists mainly of lava fields, glaciers and sand, you will find almost no trees here. Only 1% is tree. Because of the climate and the special soil, it is a very fragile island and therefore it is not allowed to deviate from the roads and paths. Because of this vulnerability, nature is therefore mostly untouched and therefore so incredibly photogenic.

No doubt you've seen many images of this beautiful country come along, evoking the "I want that too!" feeling in everyone. We are going to make it possible for you! For one week we will take you to the most enchanting places. Of course this includes some well-known places but we will also show you some hidden gems. A big advantage of Iceland is that it is beautiful in all kinds of weather. Sun, rain, gray or cold: Iceland enchants you and you will love the country.

WHAT DOES A WEEK ON ICELAND LOOK LIKE

As you would expect, the main focus will be landscape photography! We go out every day with sunrise and sunset. During the week of the tour, the equinox also takes place. This means that the sun is perpendicular above the equator and this affects the northern lights. Around the equinox, there is a greater chance of seeing the aurora borealis. So we will definitely be hunting to witness and capture this enchanting phenomenon over the Icelandic landscapes! In between all these moments there will be time to catch your rest or to share knowledge with each other. Lunch and dinner will alternate between a picnic in nature or a meal in a restaurant. This depends entirely on the schedule and weather on the day.

The Iceland tour is open to any passionate photographer. We do not have a day to day schedule because we like to be guided by the most beautiful light. However, we do have a list of locations we will visit. Think of places like Vestrahorn, Eystrahorn, Diamond Beach, Jökulsárlón, and Skútafoss. The light constantly changes on the island so an unexpected stop will definitely happening because we don't want to miss the best moment. Of course we all bring a dose of happiness and it will be an unforgettable, inspiring and above all enchanting complete tour where there is enough room for learning and discovering new things.
