PHOTOGRAPHY TRIP SCOTLAND

Scotland is a dream destination for many photographers and we understand that all too well! We have visited this region several times in recent years and it continues to enchant you. During this photo trip we will visit two fantastic regions. We start in Skye and end in Glencoe. Glencoe is a green valley full of mountains, flowing rivers, red deer and endless beautiful photo locations. The valley was formed centuries ago by glacial glaciers and volcanic eruptions. Did you know that Glencoe has often been the setting for famous James Bond films? Several times during the trip we will follow in the footsteps of 007. The most popular spots on Skye are Old Man of Storr and the Fairy Pools. The variety of both regions makes this trip truly an unforgettable adventure for everyone.

WHAT TO EXPECT?

The trip is in the middle of autumn so the colors in the valley and on the mountains are at their best. Brown, orange, yellow, in short, autumn! Most of the locations we will visit are easily accessible if you have average fitness. We won't be climbing high mountain peaks but to see a little more of an area we will definitely take short hikes. After all, you do want to see all the beauty. This is a perfect trip for both the novice photographer and the more experienced and the guides will do everything they can to teach you more about landscape photography. The trip also includes a "Compositions in the Landscape" workshop. You will also get free access to an online workshop 'Editing in Lighroom' after the trip. Upon arrival of the trip, we will meet a local who will teach you a bit about the culture of Scotland.

ALL INCLUDED
All trips from 2025 are fully inclusive. That means that in most cases we have a local driver who drives us through the countries, all meals are included, all accommodations (based on a shared room), access to all parks and lots of culture is added to the trip. Everything is arranged by local entrepreneurs, so all the paperwork is in order and we can do what we do best: show you the most beautiful places! Oh and did you know that we also support a local project with every trip? More about that later!

THE PROGRAM

DAG 1

Today the photographic journey in Scotland begins. We will pick you up at the airport in Glasgow (GLA) at noon. From there we will drive to the first accommodation in Skye, the region where the first part of the trip is. This destination is the farthest away so a long but very beautiful drive awaits. If we see something beautiful along the way we will of course stop.

DAG 2

This morning we are going to the Quaraing. A location with insanely beautiful things to photograph. For those who do like a bit of a tough climb, The Needle is a nice rock to climb to and photograph. In the afternoon we visit Elgol. Here you can make beautiful seascapes with the beautiful Cuillins Mountains in the background.

DAG 3

Early today we set off for the Old man of Storr. To get to the photo location here we do have to do a tough hike. For those who do not dare this climb, there is also the possibility to stay down because from Loch Fada you also have a nice view of the Old Man. For sunset, we drive to Neist Point. This beautiful lighthouse on the cliffs is not to be missed, of course.

DAG 4

In the morning we will go to Sligichan, here we can spend many hours photographing the beautiful river with the Black Cuillins in the background. For sunset we will drive to Neist Point, this beautiful lighthouse on the cliffs is not to be missed of course.

DAG 5

In the morning we go to the Fairy pools, the name really lives up to its name, here are beautiful waterfalls to photograph with in the background the Black Cuillins. After this we drive to Glencoe. On the way we make a stop at the beautiful castle Eilean Donan.

DAG 6

We begin the day at Lochan Glencoe. A lake surrounded by trees that have beautiful fall colors in this season. In the background, the imposing mountains of Glencoe rise above the trees! After this we drive to the Three Sisters. In this place there are an awful lot of possibilities and since the days are quite short we will stay here until sunset. The most beautiful moment we will photograph at Ralston Cairn. From here you have beautiful views of the Three Sisters.

DAG 7

We leave early today from the accommodation because we are driving to Kilchurn Castle to photograph the sunrise. With any luck we will have a beautiful mist near the water here! In the afternoon we visit River Orchy where you can photograph many waterfalls. The perfect place to play with your shutter speed for a change. In the afternoon we drive to the famous and beautiful Buachaille Etive where we then stay until sunset.

DAG 8

Wake up!!! Time for a sunrise at Lochan Urr! A lovely morning of photographing before moving on to River Etive. Waterfalls, rapids and lots more beauty to photograph! We end the day again with an impressive Scottish castle, Castle Stalker. What a day!

DAG 9

We will keep this morning as a backup morning. Should we have had bad weather in the last few days or still really want to go back to one of the locations, we will visit it again today. Then, unfortunately, we will drive back to Glasgow (GLA) to drop you off at the airport at noon. So long, farewell
