The Kampina in Boxtel is a nature reserve with dozens of fens. It borders the well-known Oisterwijkse Vennen making it a similar landscape. In the description of the photo walk through the Oisterwijk ponds we tell you how all these waters were created. The Kampina originated in exactly the same way with the exception of the Belversven and the Winkelsven. These are remnants of the melting waterfall of the Beerze (a stream that runs through this area).

For photographers, De Kampina may be the perfect place to spend an entire day shooting. Imposing detached trees, heathland, forests, cattle, horses, fens and hills. Unprecedentedly beautiful and diverse is this nature reserve. When you come here more often you see the diversity of the landscape through the seasons. During this walk we walk along the forest edge to a place where the heather is in bloom. Unfortunately, we are not alone because due to the swampy area mosquitoes also feast on nature (so take deet with you). Don't let it get you down because the magic of Kampina is overwhelming.
