FOREST PHOTOGRAPHY

When we dive into nature we quickly seek out the forest. A place where we find peace and are enchanted by the colorful leaves. Also for a photographer the forest is a favorite place but photographing in a forest brings very different challenges than, for example, at the coast or in a vast landscape. The light is often darker and there is a lot to see around you.

How do you make sure you get peace in your image and capture the right light? So many questions and challenges, we are going to help you with them! Every season and with almost all weather conditions the forest is beautiful. The workshop always starts early in the morning so we make the most of the weather conditions and it is still quiet. Did you know that sometimes the wind in the morning is not as strong as during the day? We can take advantage of that as well. For this workshop it is important that you have a tripod. If you do not have a tripod, please let us know so we can bring an extra one for you to use.

  • ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

    • A tripod is very important when photographing in the woods. Don't have one? Let us know and we will bring an extra Leofoto tripod for you to borrow.
    • In the forest, we only use a polarizing filter.
    • Don't limit yourself to 1 lens. Both wide-angle and telephoto lenses (and everything in between) can be used well in the forest.

WHO WHAT WHERE?

Are you a beginner or a photographer with more experience? Everyone is welcome. We all sometimes run into the same challenge of photographing in a forest. The important thing is that you will learn to see what you are looking at. What makes this forest unique, where are the characteristic features, where does the light come from and what are the big differences per season other than the colors of the leaves? You can't think of anything or it will be discussed during the workshop. Put on your walking shoes, your camera gear and make sure you put on clothes that can get a little dirty (not that we are going to roll in the mud :D). In between all the theory you will get assignments to practice. This is the time to play with the new knowledge and ask any questions you may have. After that we will quickly move on to the next topic. Are you ready?
